Colleen Breen has been a resident of Santa Barbara for nearly 20 years. She received her MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Depth and Jungian Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and a BA in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara. As a clinician, she works from a person-centered approach, emphasizing the building of safe, supportive relationships with clients that allow them to connect to their innate healing process.
Prior to pursing psychotherapy, Colleen worked for over 15 years in hospitality, event planning, and development/fundraising, and brings a great perspective on corporate life to her therapeutic work. She is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Changes and Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County, where she treats seniors and caregivers. Colleen also has experience working with survivors of traumatic brain injury at Jodi House, and wrote her masters thesis on the topic of TBI. In her free time, Colleen is an avid yoga practitioner.
